The next awards to be presented would be the FNN FAN VOTE for Coach and Player of the Year. Next up on the night, Grady Sapp came to the stage to host the first of four ONE ON ONE with the Coach and Player of the Year nominees, presented by Harrison Sports Chiropractic. The 2022 FNN TEAM OF THE YEAR honor went to the B B Comer Tigers, with head coach Adam Fossett receiving the custom trophy. Each nominee was presented with a custom plaque recognizing their nomination. The 2022 nominees were Anniston High School, B B Comer High School, Cherokee County High School, and Coosa Christian School. A fan vote combined with a panel of football coaches that didn't play any of the nominees over the season would determine the winner. FNN's TEAM OF THE YEAR would serve to recognize the team selected from four nominees offered by FNN. A student from each of the schools in Randolph County, (Handley, Randolph County High School, Wadley and Woodland) will receive a scholarship each spring. The iSchool Sports team has established a scholarship to Southern Union State Community College in his honor. Robinson lives in LaGrange and continues to be the program and music director. Glen Robinson, a California native, joined IRockAndBoogie and began programming the music for Wes in 2014. Wes’ favorite line was “keep streaming the fun”, and the iSchool Sports team along with IrockandBoogie will continue in his honor. He was married to Donna Strain Kinsey, and they had two children, Caleb and Katrina. Wes Kinsey was also an ordained minister, pastoring at several churches. Later, Wes became a partner in iSchool Sports, providing coverage of high school sports, and Southern Union Athletics, until he became sole owner in 2018 of the network. Wes did many community functions for organizations and civic groups around Randolph County. He founded IRockAndBoogie, playing classic hits of the 60s, 70s, and 80s. Wes was a graduate of Handley High School, Southern Union, and the University of Montevallo (B.S. His favorite aspects of broadcasting were live shows, and remote broadcast.
